Culling, BS…………….and forum rant.

While a very touchy and often emotional subject culling is something that anyone breeding snakes will have to face sooner or later. It’s never an easy decision but sadly it is part of this hobby.

Now culling an animal that fails to thrive, is sick or severely deformed is one thing but culling healthy animals because they are less “desirable”…………WTF

Now I was not born yesterday and I know that this ugly side of the industry has existed for a long time, and I guess I’ll  give that one credit  to this guy for being one that admits it, but common can’t people be honest with themselves anymore?

Does someone really needs to use excuses such as those animals are feeder animals or those animals are being spared a long life of suffering………………………let’s see here

Just what I thought BS, those animals are not bred to be feeders (if they were I would have no problem with it), they are not spared a life of abuse (not matter what the price or the paintjob any animal can be neglected or abandoned), they are considered byproducts (of desirable pairings) and disposed of because they are not worth his time and effort.

So yeah I am not a well know breeder like he is, I don’t produce 300 babies like he does, but I don’t and never will cull healthy animals either, I would rather stop breeding all together than cull healthy animals simply because the animals are not “desirable”.

So yes mister well known breeder you can do what you want with your animals, no one can stop that, but no one  has to agree with you either and personally I would never support your business by buying something from you and I know many people who feel the same way.

Be honest with yourself and admit to yourself why you are really doing this rather than finding some BS excuses to make you feel better.

Here is what I think you should do:

  • Stop comparing living breathing creatures to pieces of electronic.
  • Stop making so many ASSumptions about people and the future of those animals.
  • Stop being lazy choosing the easy way out.
  • Stop breeding those “undesirable” mutts if they are not worth your time.

U Suck

Thanks god not everyone is like you, some people actually do care about their animals.

You don’t want to deal with those animals don’t breed them, plain and simple and if you do at least give them the time and respect they deserve!

New Addition!

One thing about me is that I am picky and this is definitely true when it comes to snakes.

When adding a new morph to my collection I do not buy just any animal so I can say I have it, I am always looking for the best possible example of the morph I plan to purchase.

I have been wanting an albino for a while and patience has finally paid off, so thanks to Justin (www.JKobylkaReptiles.com) I was able to add this beautiful boy to my collection last week.
